Belated Happy New Year!

Hey everyone!

We just wanted to wish you all and your ponies (if you have one) and belated happy new year!
Let's make 2016 a great year!

I don't know about you guys but this year I'm looking forward to going to Horse of The Year 2016.
To be completely honest I have never ever in my entire lifetime been to Horse of The Year, and I have wanted to since I was a little girl. It was always too expensive.
But this year I have a job and I'm on my way! I'm hoping that Opal (Wildhorse) can join me, so we can post all these cool pictures and updates of the event.

I know I have not posted much in seriously FOREVER, and I want to apologize for this. But as you all know life gets kind of intense. I wish it was as easy as it is on the internet. But my new years resolution is to get this page up and running to its prime again!

This means regular posts (fingers crossed min of 1 a week) and a new look. When I say new look, not much will be changed because I love the way our blog looks, its very down to earth. But you will notice slight differences.

Oh I forgot to mention..

Opal and I are having another horse camp, this Friday to Sunday!!!
We are so excited and we are going to be getting heaps of footage and videos, so that is going to be one of the new posts coming up. We have been planning it for ageeeeeeees.
I'm not just excited at the fact I get to hang out with my bestie and my awesome horse Specs..
I thought I would have to borrow a horse off of someone, but turns out..

MY NEW HORSE IS ARRIVING IN A COUPLE DAYS!!!
(eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!)

I'm sorry you guys have been out of the loop for like forever!

Okay, so next year I am heading off to train at a local Equestrian centre to be a Sports Horse Competitor. It is a one year course, and the basis of the course is learning more about horses, showing, turnout and training. My legit dream!!
For this course you can bring your own horse and as you guys know Specere is getting on in her years and serious competing would be too hard on her, and I wouldn't ask that of her.
So I talked to a family friend who lovvvvvvves horses and breeds his own and he hooked me up. All I know about this horse is that she is a mare, pinto, 5 years old and 15.1hh.
I'm so excited to meet her, I'm hanging out and the days are going soo slow.

I won't be keeping her forever, though, she is given to me to ride until we have broken in my actual horse who is currently too young at the moment. We will back him over winter and he will be ready to ride by spring. He is a rising 3 year old colt (but I am getting him gelded), he is a bay pinto, he has a blaze\stripe and he is a whopping 16.1hh currently! He will probably get bigger.
He is a mix of breeds but the main are Gisborne bred and stationed. He's a sweetheart and already lets people sit on him even though he isn't broken in. He is going to be my eventing horse for next year, let's hope he loves to jump!

So consider yourselves updated!

I hope you guys are having a fantastic year so far and you continue to do so!
Tat-ta!
